Annual Awards Presented at the Medina Show
The Founders Award was begun in 1989 and was named
in honor of Ed and Harriet Rindfleisch of Rindy's Haven Cattery and
Frances Price of Tai Ming Cattery.
It is awarded at the end of our show each year to
the highest scoring Birman in Championship based on breed wins alone.
Two points are scored for best of breed and 1 for second best of breed.
The idea originated with Marilyn Rowley of Barmar Cattery and several
others expanded on the idea. The winner's name is inscribed on a large
plaque that is retained by the Club and is on display each year. A
smaller plaque is given to the owner of the winning Birman.
